Miller market 'hot'

Sure, but you have to take chances to get premier hitting talent.

You're talking about a good, cheap #2 SP and 2 non-top 100 prospects for a top-20 prospect and another prospect who is at least top 60-70. That's a reasonable deal in terms of pure value.

While I would love to trade all of our assets at peak value, it's not realistic that can happen. We can't limit ourselves to trading only those guys who had great years. And again, if any team is going to give us more for Sims than his current value might suggest, it would be Boston. If they really like Miller and Sims, regardless of what they claim their current value should be, we can pull more from them.

I'm trying to come up with reasonable deals. I would love to trade Miller and Jenkins for Devers, Benintendi, and Bradley, but that does nothing except set fans' expectations too high.

That is far from reasonable, imo. Sims was #54 preseason and at the very least he held serve as a prospect this year.

Miller is worth AT LEAST Devers by himself. I mean most everyone on here agrees that Soler alone for Miller is not a good enough package, and yet Soler was a top 20 prospect as well.

Well, we'll see what we get from the D-Backs. I bet most will end up preferring my proposed deal.

I've been trying to explain, though, that while Miller has value, it's not like he's going to bring a massive return.

Ender Inciarte in deal per Joel Sherman. Like him quite a bit! 5 years of control.

Ender Inciarte is the one of the three of him, Pollock, and Peralta I wanted least. Better be something else good too

But Inciarte is a lefty hitter. Thought they were targeting RH hitting CF. I preferred Perlata too.
