B-ref WAR loves Inciarte, if that is indeed who we're getting. Hard not be skeptical of his bat, though- a 101 OPS+ last year, and that was driven entirely by batting average.

Inciarte is an interesting piece. Phenomenal defender who was worth more than 5 WAR last year. If we can get a good prospect on top of that, I'll take it.

Inciarte is a good defender but I don't see where his bat fits. He lacks the OBP skills of a top of the order guy. He has good speed but isn't a great base stealer. He's not got much pop at all. Not a bad hitter just not a particularly useful one.

Fangraphs likes Inciarte a little less- 3.3 WAR, which is respectable.

I'm just skeptical of counting on an outfielder whose entire offensive skill set is hitting singles.
