Smooth.. I came home from some errands ready to respond to you.. saw the trade and really felt nothing I had to say would even matter at this point because neither of us expected this kind of return..

When I heard it was the D-Backs, I wanted Swanson, assuming we couldn't get him and that if we did, we'd have to include more than Miller. When I heard Inciarte, I had flashbacks to the Olivera deal, waiting to be crushed. Then I looked Inciarte up and was pleasantly surprised and began preparing myself for him to be the centerpiece; I would have been disappointed and confused, but was beginning to figure out a way to think positively about it.

Then I heard we might get Swanson and Blair in addition and assumed it was a joke.

I mean, we got the guy I figured Miller couldn't get by himself...plus their #2 prospect as well, a top 50-60 guy....plus a guy who I was actually beginning to believe was the centerpiece. Holy crap.

I can't stand that m***** f*****. I just love the way we've bent him over. The first was kinda fun. While this was fun, it also means a lot.

This jump starts the rebuild. I've been critical of the Johns, particularly Coppy, but I am pleased - as everyone else is - with this deal.
