Turner Field To Be Sold To Georgia State And Developer Carter

Wonder if they'll tear down the stadium, which seems like there is a chance they will. Would be cool if they sold off the seats like they've done with other stadiums, would be cool to buy a pair.

I'm pretty sure Georgia state intends to repurpose Turner into their own football stadium so I'm curious to see how much they actually change
 
Yeah, Georgia State will turn Turner Field into its football stadium. They'll also be building student housing and other buildings on the site. It's a pretty big deal for GSU. Turner field is really close to GSU's campus and it's not often a tract of land like this comes available.

Georgia State is also in the process of merging with Georgia Perimeter (more absorbing Georgia Perimeter) to create the largest University in Georgia by far and one of the largest in the nation. Could have an enrollment over 50,000.

I'm also a double panther (went to both undergrad and law school at Georgia State) so I'm pretty excited about this.
