This is literally the last thing they do in spring training. Some assignments are not made until the day they break camp. All rosters are considered tentative.

Rmember, the lowest levels don't open play until the end of June. Even Rome will have some late decisions about starting the season there or returning to extended spring awaiting Danville's season.

Players will be assigned to teams periodically as camp winds down so that all decisions aren't made at the last minute. But again, they teams will make a change in a heartbeat depending on things like injuries or last-minute free agent signings.
