Bernies tax plan released

You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding on WHY my health premiums were raised. And frankly, I'm sick of trying to explain to someone so stupid

I will take that to mean you really have run out of issues and outside of parroting right wing cliches you have nothing of consequence to say

Stupid/moron/idiot -- who am I discussing with, Donald Trump

Free stuff -- Romney / Gingrich 2012

"that one " 2008

Thanks for reminding me why you're the dumbest political person I've ever come across in my entire life.

Why? Do you advocate worshiping the State? I'm a Christian first too. Why shouldn't I think thus?

worship the state? i don't stand during god bless america

i would rather people in power trying to make the best for this world instead of the pseudo caring that comes from many that claim to be christian and are just waiting for the "after life" where it will be a better world

it is just a different cut of fabric than the terrorists who blow themselves up thinking the "next life is better"

it's sickening imo

you can think whatever you want, i just hope you don't run for gov't office of the USA with that mentality.

sounds like the canadian should go run to head a church instead of a country though

He's a populist candidate... not hard to see why he's popular... when you promise free stuff to everyone, the sheep will flock.

If he promised and didn't deliver or delivered and the results sucke,d he wouldn't be popular. Maybe his "free stuff" promises are what the people want and they don't mind paying a bit more in taxes.

Then why must one's ultimate allegiance be to it? That make no sense. What's your ultimate allegiance if it isn't Leviathan?

i would rather people in power trying to make the best for this world instead of the pseudo caring that comes from many that claim to be christian and are just waiting for the "after life" where it will be a better world

That's a dumb caricature. No Christian running for office is "just waiting for the after life where it will be a better world." They may advocate something different from you for making the world better or define making the world better differently but it doesn't mean they advocate nothing.

it is just a different cut of fabric than the terrorists who blow themselves up thinking the "next life is better"

Again, dumb caricature.

it's sickening imo

Whatever.

you can think whatever you want, i just hope you don't run for gov't office of the USA with that mentality.

Yeah, instead let's have those whose ultimate allegiance is to a political party, the Flag, Wall Street, or whatever whacked idol they choose instead.

sounds like the canadian should go run to head a church instead of a country though

Again, all kind of dumb statement. I'm no Cruz supporter, but that's just straight up bigotry on your part.

i don't really have an allegiance per se imo. i would want people who view this country and humans all over, no matter their religion or creed, race, sexual preference etc, as trying to make their life better.

i'm not tired to any political party or flag or group. I am sitting in a room that has an American flag, a Cuban flag and a Vietnamese flag on the wall right now. i think a lot of western society/ideals is a better form of society than others though overall or i should say it is one i prefer but i think we could do better

when i hear people tell me religion is bigger to them than the country or world etc, i am instantly turned off from having that type of person in office or giving them any type of power.

if that makes me a bigot, have fun with that comparison. seems as fun as saying that an atheist is religious imo but have it

i am the first to say you should be able to practice any religion, just don't bring that 2000+ year old stuff into my gov't

and everyone i have ever met in this country that is religious that has a different way of living life here is only wanting you to believe their religion and live that way. that type of thinking isn't what i want in my gov't or how i would want my country

lol a "bit more" in taxes... you seem to not understand math either...

What we're doing today is already resulting in crushing debt. Bernie wants to accelerate all of that

Debateable. Unlike some other candidates he has a plan an it's a net money saver. Ofcourse it's just projections so who knows what it could or could not save.

i don't really have an allegiance per se imo.

Sure you do. Don't know why you are so averse to ever admitting it. I think you believe that if you do, then somehow you'll be in sort of trap.

i would want people who view this country and humans all over, no matter their religion or creed, race, sexual preference etc, as trying to make their life better.

That's a religious aspiration/expression. As would a Christian. That you think someone saying they are first a Christian somehow conflicts with such a desire is odd.

But you think one's allegiance to the State is ultimate. I don't get you.

when i hear people tell me religion is bigger to them than the country or world etc, i am instantly turned off from having that type of person in office or giving them any type of power.

Like Martin Luther King and any Christian worth his salt? That's dumb.

if that makes me a bigot, have fun with that comparison. seems as fun as saying that an atheist is religious imo but have it

Bigot: a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc. : a bigoted person; especially : a person who hates or refuses to accept the members of a particular group (such as a racial or religious group).

That's what your statement revealed. To be sickened that a person would hold his faith as his most fundamental allegiance, fits the bill rather well.

i am the first to say you should be able to practice any religion, just don't bring that 2000+ year old stuff into my gov't

Just don't let it have an effect anywhere else? And if their faith isn't to be some privatized thing locked away so that it doesn't "scare" poor secular religionists? Tough luck? Muslims, Christians, Jews, Buddhists all think their faith has implications for how they live in society and what they hope for society. Secularists do too - they just want to be the only ones able to do so, rather conveniently.

Oh, and your government? As if it doesn't also belong to others who don't kow-tow to your worldview.

and everyone i have ever met in this country that is religious that has a different way of living life here is only wanting you to believe their religion and live that way. that type of thinking isn't what i want in my gov't or how i would want my country

Sure it is. You want everyone to bow to your views or be ghettoized.

So what's your ultimate allegiance gold. You haven't directly answered the question. You've answered it, I just don't know if you know you have.

I read the tweet - speaking to Cruz' hypocrisy.
no more - no less

. It being fine for him to parade his Christianity yet had a Muslim done the same he would have countered with intolerance.

From that perspective I think we'd all agree it was "sickening"

Cruz is not one for generous nuance. No, just rhetoric that plays to fear. That's the problem with most of this batch of politicians - and frankly us as an electorate - the politicians play to our fears and we lap it up.

We've been cable-news-blogged-Rushed into tribes that can only fear and/or loathe our "opponents." I see it on my Facebook feed all the time - secularists like gold imagining all manner of Christian-boogey-men and then the populist-conservative-Christians worked always into a tizzy about this or that that Obama has done or not done. I see it in the mirror. That's what's sickening to me.

I see that Bernie Sanders wants to implement a tax on stock trading ($0.50 for every $100 trade). The tax revenue will be used to fund college tuition. I'm glad my 401k that invests in a mutual fund is going to take a hit.

Sanders is a well-meaning individual, and that's rare for politicians. But, man, he doesn't seem to have a handle on the unintended consequences with all of his initiatives.
