I think it is a really sad day for the Republican party and they really blew a chance by not giving Paul a bit more push. There is a realignment taking place as the millennial generation comes of age and by poo-pooing Paul's stances on a lot of issues, the Republicans have made themselves older, whiter, and less open to any new ideas. I'm not saying Paul's supporters are going to all head for the Sanders column, but there are similar stances on major issues where the libertarians and the socialist left butt up against each other. Often different solutions to be sure, but a similar viewpoint on what the problems are.
 
Yeah, I think it's bad for the race overall to have lost one of the only Republican candidates who had any meaningful policy differences with his fellows.

On a personal level, I think he comes across as a little too glib and self-satisfied to be inspiring.

I would consider it at least somewhat sane if they planned to at least balance the budget in some capacity. I wouldn't like to raise taxes in order to fund spending. But I really don't like raising taxes to justify accelerating our deficits.

His medical service is commendable. His speaking out on prison reform and on racial issues is too.

Sadly, we live in a time where few will commend the good found in opponents or they demand perfection (read "he/she" agrees with everything I believe) even in the own guys.

Jill Stein is the other person. And for the why it's because I agree with both of them on foreign policy. I'm somewhere in between on domestic.

With Green party they're too big on spending for me. We don't need college for all, we don't need 15 dollar minimum wage, and other issues I have, conversely I recognize somethings shouldn't be left to the free market, healthcare shouldn't be ran for profit. Government does do some thing better than the private sector.
 
I think everyone outside of Cruz, Trump, Santorum and, if you don't like his philosophy, Bernie, are "sane," but just about all of them are wrong on multiple fronts.
 
I think (Santorum excluded) they're all sane. Trump is a plant for the Clintons. Cruz is a calculating man, and Bernie is highly passionate. The only one I'm really scared for is Ben Carson, I have to assume at this point it's not an act and he really believes the things he says.
