I'm at the game. Beckham's shot didn't look like it got 30 ft off the ground.

Chacin gave up 3 hard hit balls.

Eventful first inning, but the thing that most caught my eye was how terrible Bourn's arm is. Throw to the plate from LF was just embarrassing.

That, and that Frenchy has not gotten any faster during his travels. Dude just oozed after that 2B to right.

Some spring averages, including Sunday:

Bonafacio .277 but with 16(!) strikeouts in 47 ABs (13 hits)
Beckham .323
Francoeur .326
Swisher .238
Flowers .152
Kelly J. .219
Bourn .273
Olivera .385
Inciarte .372
Albies .371 (sigh)
Mallex .346 (ditto)
Aybar .306
Swanson .300
Freeman .296 (27 ABs, 11 walks, .500 OBP)
Brignac .294
A.J. .259
Jace Peterson .256
Garcia .238
Lavarnway .222
Markakis .152

No point in compiling the pitching numbers, because Gant's four hitless innings did not "count", along with a couple of other strong showings.

Likely what to expect all year - teams that pitch to him will be idiots.

Our lineup today was pretty wretched. No Freddie, Neck, or Olivera. Gio Gonzales broke about 6 bats.

Chacin gave up a ton of hits but didn't exactly get rocked. Winkler look pretty good, despite his line. Kinman was the brightest spot for the Braves.

so was I. Beckham hit a couple balls hard. Most of the other hits were weak bloops or dribblers. Neither Chacin nor Torres impressed, but I liked Winkler in his short stint. Swisher dropped a throw right to him and was comically bad on a pop up behind him that he managed to catch. Poor guy cannot play 1b.

Thought Bonafacio looked bad in the field and at the plate; he'll probably be on I-75 north a few cars behind Swisher's.
