Because it rejects your argument? 6.27 NY/A is not good. And remember as well, not all passes are created equal. If Ryan makesa 5 yard pass for a TD and Mariota makes a 17 yard pass on 3rd and 25 they're not equal.

Better TD rate. Better Completion percentage. Better TD/Int Ratio. Better QBR. Better Total QBR.

NY/A is pretty misleading considering the talent around him. Whereas Winston had a better OL and a two great WR to throw to.

I think Bosa might be the best overall player in the draft, and to get him at 4 is awesome. He or Jack could help immensely. You guys need pass rush juice, and he can rush from the interior on 3rd downs I'd imagine.

Or it has to do with how they play the game. QB Rating sucks. It's basically entirely driven by TDs and INTs. Total QBR is much better, but there's something they see in Mariota that isn't seen in DVOA or DYAR. For the most part they agree on the other Qbs, sometimes they don't. But considering what I can look at, Total QBR saying Mariota per pass was better than Rivers or Carr. Which yeah. No.

I just don't love him, and don't like the idea of drafting for need. I want Ramsey, but we desperately will need a pass rush. Jack's knee is too scary.

They questioned whether or not he would be as accurate at the NFL level, not whether he was accurate in college.

If so, why are you referring to his college accuracy when this was clearly a concern of his NFL ability?

What basis do you have for discrediting the statistic? You didn't like the results, so you dismiss it entirely?
