GDT 4/3 braves vs mets

so how many imaginary friends did Wisler have growing up. He talks to himself a ton on the mound and me and my invisible friend next to me love it!!!!

He was talking to me sitting on my porch drinking beer - heard every word. Part of the discussion revolved around "damn you *ucked up San Diego".

Markakis is here to teach the prospects the "right way to play the game". Thats why they wont trade him.

Markakis has been solid for two seasons for the Braves. He's a good guy. I don't have a problem with trading him, but only if it's to someone willing to overpay a little. A power prospect from a contender who needs a lefty bad pretty badly would seem to be the best case scenario. I like the idea of Inciarte in right and Mallex in center, if Mallex can continue to hit. A left field power bat sure would be nice.

Inciarte had a better OPS by one point than Markakis last year, but if you go by Markakis numbers over last three years combined and factor in most likely further decline on both offense and defense. It is a slam dunk for Inciarte on both offense and defense unless you think his hitting .303 last year with a .747 OPS was a fluke even though he did it with having a poor year vs lefties. The way I see it those numbers should improve if he improves vs lefties and even if not he's still giving Markakis-like production. Plus he's better on the bases as well.

But we were bad with Markakis in RF. I don't want someone as bad. We are going to upgrade at some point, right?

I really like the improvement I have seen with Wisler. He just seems much More confident on the mound.

I'm not sure he has a higher ceiling than a #3 starter. The next step is to see if he can either strikeout more batters or get more ground balls.
