Well, there are quite a few people on the board who are celebrating that status.... (not all of course).

I'm not happy about being nearly historically bad, I miss watching good Braves baseball; I'm certainly not celebrating that -- but its naïve to ignore the fact that are benefits to being horrid that you don't get if you are mediocre or simply bad.

The #1 overall pick -- with that draft slot -- is a hell of an asset. So at this point, I want us to lose, I want us to lose as much as necessary to finish last.

And that's a tough thing when you also want to see growth from Folty/Wisler/Perez/Viz/Mallex ...ect...

I guess it ensures us the #1 pick. Still embarrassing.

Its strange, I don't really see it as that embarrassing -- every team rebuilds at some point -- does it really matter if we lose 110 games or 100 games? Are there fans out there that feel better about going winning 71 games vice 62?

Do Houston fans really care about how bad they were a couple years ago considering it gave them the draft picks and assets to help rebuild? Ask them now, if they would rather have gone 75-87 in those years?

I mostly agree... but it is embarrassing seeing the stadium so empty... I'd imagine the players are miserable

None of those teams are the 62 Mets or 03 Tigers.

I wish someone would trade for frenchy. I just detest watching him play here. He's done a pretty good job here for the most part, but I hate watching him play for some reason

Sheesh... load em up in the 9th with nobody out and don't score.

Oh well..

Only a few more years of this hopefully
