Not 100% sure that wasn't a foul tip instead of a HBP. Replay was pretty quick. And then the tater. Seems like every walk or HBP is followed by a homer.
 
It's safe to say, Whalen isn't facing minor leaguers anymore. Am I missing something or is his stuff pretty unimpressive?
 
Add Whalen to the Braves' list of Not Ready for Prime Time Pitchers.

It's getting pretty damn long.
 
The Braves have made it a habit of calling up pitchers without giving them a chance to have a run of success in AAA. Once in a while you get an exception who can make the jump from AA to the majors and not miss a beat. But for most players some experience in AAA tends to be useful.
