On another note, Al Hrabosky signed off by saying, "it's sure disappointing when you can't beat bad teams like the Braves." While it's true, it sounds like sour grapes to me.

Living in NY in 1984, I watched him strike out 14 (I think) and pitch a one hitter against the Cubs during that year's NL pennant race. At the time, I thought I was looking at a sure Hall of Famer and a modern day Bob Gibson. Things sure didn't turn out that way but I've never seen a rookie pitcher with more potential.

JMO, but he was the most impressive Pitcher I've seen in my 47 years. Perfect example of how fleeting MLB success is, but when he was at his best he was as good as anyone I've ever seen.
