Kind of crazy that Bradley has become one of the pitchers I'm most excited to track given our embarrassment of riches across our minor league rotations.

First round picks are first round picks. One of the steals of the year.

BTW.. AJ is rehabbing with GCL today. 1-2 with a BB/K/single - run scored. luckily he is DHing so Rangel is having a great day on the mound.

Sweep for the GCLers. Jasseel de la Cruz continues his great work since coming stateside, running his scoreless innings streak to 15.

More nice work from Jed Bradley: 7 IP, 5H, 1 R, 4 BB, 6 Ks. With all due respect to Joel De La Cruz, would like to see Bradley take his spot so we can make an informed roster decision on him before he becomes an MiLB FA this Fall.

So he's a free agent this fall? We won't have anymore control?

He'll be a 6 year minor-league free agent, by my accounting. If we don't add him to the 40-man roster, he's free to sign wherever he pleases. His contract has never been purchased by an MLB team, so he has all 3 option years. That's a big point of value for him. If he was just your random 26 year old AAAA guy having a nice year that had already burned through his options, it would be different.
