It's crazy how good he looks. His swing is so smooth, I see no mechanical flaws and the guy is an all-world defender. I admit he looks a bit tired, but he's a gamer.
I'm sure he'll get a good look in spring training to see if he's really up to playing in the show.

Seriously, if Kemp is good to his word and shows up in better shape next spring, he may very well be worth the financial risk we took with him.

But I take your point: maybe he won't be so bad with the glove, as a Brave, to obliterate his offensive contributions.

It honestly wouldn't take that much. Kemp with a 800+ OPS likely gets you there even with his **** defense.
Make it look easy or make it look difficult--as long as the ball doesn't hit the ground, it's fine by me.

Do you think he has a reasonable shot at turning things around and having a long term future with the Braves? I seriously have my doubts unless he can have a lot more outings like this one.

Although I'd prefer the #1 pick, I do get some satisfaction out of beating up on our division rivals right before the playoffs.
