What does it say about the candidate that loses to that? The blame lies with Hillary, if beating Trump was so important she should have put her own interests aside and let Bernie be the nominee. Or heck just VP. Of course she could not have him as VP because she used that position to bribe Kaine into stepping down as DNC chairman so Hillary could put a puppet like her campaign chairman in to rig the primaries. Don't want another Obama stealing her nomination.

Bernie was the more popular candidate but the DNC was backing Hillary from the start. To think that they, or even Hillary herself,should've seen that and switched midstream is unrealistic. Real life doesn't work that way. I'm also not convinced that Bernie would've done so much better against Trump than Hillary. Maybe enough to win but no one knows. If he had been the Dem candidate Trump would've had time to work on him too. Bernie may not have the scandals but those projected numbers of Bernie vs Trump don't mean anything.
