Trump U

$25 million dollars.

I want to know what the final money balance is for the total venture. How much did he take in?

My quick research says that there were over 10,000 students and guessing about $10,000 per student, that comes to $100 million. The crook still made money on the scam. What a crock of bs.

and hey, let's put to bed this notion of Democrats and Republicans here.

"Schneiderman first filed the class-action lawsuit against Trump in 2013; Trump promptly called him "lightweight" and added that the lawsuit was "pathetic."

Except you're not even considering initial investment costs, operating expenses, corporate income tax, some of those students not paying, etc.

Assuming revenues of $100 million, I doubt he made any money after those litigation expenses.

If that is the case, not only is he an admitted fraud, but not even good at fraud

I can't get over people rationalizing not stopping this train wreck

Well admittedly, "Trump University" is a really stupid idea. Any idiot who actually gave money to that enterprise deserved to be taken advantage of.

On it's face it is another for profit college. With a celebrated namesake.

I completely understand how people got taken in.

The same way people voted for him

It isn't very complicated

$25 million dollars.

This is the injustice in the justice system. Rich folk can reach a settlement, cut a check, and deny they did anything wrong. Poor folks end up in bankruptcy or jail. As the old Woody Guthrie song about Pretty Boy Floyd goes: Yes, as through this world I've wandered/I've seen lots of funny men/Some will rob you with a six-gun,/And some with a fountain pen.

So what does that say about anyone who voted for the person in charge of that enterprise? What do they deserve?

It isn't accredited. People are responsible for their own failure.

For God's sake, it's called "Trump University". It's not fool's gold. It's a pebble painted yellow.

False equivalency. You can attend a thousand different (accredited) colleges instead of Trump U. The alternative to Trump (who is a bag of crap) was Clinton (another bag of crap).

Are you saying it is the victims fault Trump had to pay $25 M ?

Umm no. Stop being a politician and twisting my words. I'm saying it's the fault of whoever paid that man $10,000 for an "education" for not getting an actual education. I fully understand he's responsible for misleading the flock of idiots who signed up for classes.

It depends on each individual's intent. Many different and legitimate reasons people chose Trump over crooked Hillary.

I recall many other alternatives to Trump over the past year, many different (experienced) colleagues instead of Trump.

As there were many different and legitimate reasons people chose Trump U over crooked liberal institutions of learning.

I certainly agree that conservative voters have no one to blame but themselves for letting him win the nomination. I completely understand why conservative voters would vote for him over a liberal candidate.

I am interested to hear one legitimate reason why people signed up for Trump U. Since the Republican primary, This has perplexed me.

You should say flawed, crooked and money laundering candidate who had an elitist attitude that didn't care about blacks. Google why Hillary lost and they have a lot of reasons, elite and ignoring Hispanics and Blacks are all in the Top 5.

She has to go in hiding because she promise all those overseas doaners gave her money to deliver and she didn't. You can Google that as well.
