Those on the Left scream "voter suppression" and those on the Right "voter fraud." Right?

I don't care what the popular vote is. I live on Long Island and did not see many Hillary signs anywhere.

If people in the LIberal states thought their votes mattered you would see a flood of Trump supporters go to the polls.

What do you think about the (Republican-appointed) federal judge who extravagantly woodshedded the North Carolina legislature's changes to various voting laws as being a transparent, egregious, and illegal attempt to suppress the black vote?

The equivalence between "this side doing X and the other side doing Y" is appealing and convenient, but in this particular case there is actual evidence of massive, organized voter-suppression efforts. Is there corresponding evidence of a similar level of vote fraud?

ANd you wonder why Hillary won the popular vote. Take out the Top 4 states on population and their votes, guess who wins by an overwhelming margin.

Yeah, but we do have that whole one man/one vote thing going on in this country. I have no trouble with the electoral college, but what you've just said undermines the whole concept of democracy.

Bedell, I hope you're not taking my jibe about voter suppression too seriously. I get that the whole debate around voter participation is a ping-pong match of sorts.

Which changes were egregious? Mind telling what they were?

While you do I'll try to work myself into a hissy and come back demanding to know what you think of some egregious example of voter fraud.

Tis the season.

I'm not sure you read my post closely enough.

I'm not the one saying they were egregious. It was a republican-appointed federal judge. Can you point to an analogous case of large-scale, organized voter fraud? Particularly one that's designated such by an impartial source?

You're making a false equivalence. Instead of supporting it, you're choosing to be pissy.

Well, those black voters should do what the whites do, nothing is stopping them. Now the dead votes and duplicates that Liberals employ is an issue and should be suppress but yet people think it is targeting blacks. Hell, if we don't want to work and rather collect welfare, knock up females with no responsibility, do you really think we care about voting? Take away our foodstamps and the need to go to school, we will be voting then and do what is necessary to hear our voice. Obama knew he would get the black vote and sHillary thought as much, no suppressing needed, most of my black friends just did not want to vote it was that simple.

The problem with this meme is that with all the voter suppression going on, it might not matter.

No the problem is only 2 parties are allowed to run for president so neither has to worry about accountability for their actions. As mad as people are at the Democrats they will come back to them eventually because it's just a pendulum.

I assumed you agreed with the judge. Was I wrong? If I was right and you agreed with him, then what did you find egregious? Tell me and then maybe I'll look for an analogous case. At this point we can't say I'm making a false equivalence or not can we?

Culvers rocks dude. We have 4 in our area.

There burgers for the price are very good. The only gripe is their horrible fries but onions rings do nicely.

But when I go to 50's territory (90 minutes away). 5 Guys all the way. Dinos and I heard a Portillos is going in Woodbury. I might make a trip just for that.
