Winter Meetings Thread

If I'm the Nats, I'm not making this trade, but the positive on the Nats side is Sale is only 27 and they get him 3 years at dirt cheap; that as to drive is value up. If I'm the Nats and def. trading for Sale, I would go for Eaton as well and add a guy maybe Joe Ross plus other to the deal.

Centerfield should be their priority. Cain, Keirmeir, McCutchen, or Eaton, imo.

Yah because there hasn't been any smoke whatsoever of us trying to get Sale :facepalm:
 
Honestly, if I'm the Nats, I look trade Harper next winter. Nats could easily just sign a couple hitters like J.D. Martinez and/or Lucroy and stock up the farm from the returns they could get from Harper.

Eaton's a 4-5 WAR player and has a team-friendly contract, they'd have to add more than Ross to get both i'd think.

He still has the hype though. I would do Albies and Newcomb... but I think the Sox want an outfielder with power potential

Either way, they'll come up short just like they always do.

Looks like they are hot on the trail of Feliz and Zeigler as well.

They need to shore up their position players, but not a ton of weaknesses with this roster.
