Winkler

The Water Boy

Roy Orbison tatoo

Scream and Arrested Development!

I reassert my initial point, not much since Happy Days.

As for Dan Winkler, he'll go into spring training with a chance to prove he's recovered from his broken arm. He'll be in a crowded group fighting for a few pen spots. But, IIRC, he'd have to be returned to the Rockies if he doesn't make the big league club so that's something going for him.

Since we officially carried him on the roster last year, haven't we fulfilled the Rule 5 obligation already? Also, I think it's that we have to offer to return him for some nominal price. It's not automatic.

Last I read he was supposed to be ready to compete in Spring Training. So now we'd need to keep he and Armando Rivero so we don't lose him. Also, Chaz Roe, Jose Ramirez, and Sam Freeman are out of options.

The pend decisions will be interesting to follow this Spring.

I don't think he was on the active roster long enough...but I could be wrong
