I'm a fan of Kurt. Maybe it's the eye test, but I like him. Better than spending a decent amount on Wieters.

Why? Can you tell me why this is better than recker?
Agree. I just don't get why u don't go with recker unless you are trading recker. If Suzuki was a lefty hitter I might see it
Agree it's noth worth fighting
Considering how the catching market played out this off-season I think our best options were
1) to have slightly topped the winning bid for Castro or
2) To have slightly topped what the Astros sent to the Yankees for McCann
Because the Braves did it
The braves "did" Recker as well. How does the universe solve that conundrum?

The most recent move is always the correct one.
We knew those were the best options before the offseason played out. If the Braves are truly looking to "compete" in 2017 then the only logical reason they didn't do what it took to acquire either of those guys is because they have plans on making a serous run at Lucroy.
Both Bowman and Rosenthal are saying this makes Recker a trade candidate. Who would possibly want him?

For some reason I remember him as being a not-terrible hitter, but then i looked up his stats and discovered that he actually was terrible
