Help from Gwinnett?

I'm ok with giving Lane Adams a shot. But he has had a very high strikeout rate over the years. 30% this year. So I don't think he's going to have success on a sustained basis in the majors.

The guy I would rather see given a shot is Kubitza. He also has had a high strikeout rate. mid 20s over the years. But he has consistently also delivered a high BABIP and good walk rate. Plus he hits from the left side. More than anything else this teams needs a decent left handed pinch hitting option. I would rather have someone like Kelly Johnson. But if we are to promote someone currently in the system it would be Kubitza.

I was surprised at how young Kubitza was still... he's been around forever it feels

Bowman just called him a candidate for 60-day DL in the context of a 40-man roster thread, so I'd say May is not likely.

Also, this sounds like progress:

Would love to see Bonifacio DFA'd to make room for Adams and d'Arnaud DFA'd for Howard personally. Definitely no need for two utility infielders since they seem to be confident enough to use Jace at SS in a pinch.

we actually have 3 utility infielders on the bench with Peterson being the third one....you only need 1....roster mismanagement 101

Given the fact that they'd far prefer to see Bonifacio in CF and the other two in the infield than Emilio, I generally refer to him as our 4th OF at this point - but technically you're right.

Dude, he's a .325 hitter this year. Oops... that's ops

Haha, now that's funny!

Seriously, I think what nsacpi is considering is that Boni can back-up more positions, esp. in the outfield and is better running the bases if used that way. But otherwise neither bring much at all. I like having both Lane and Boni in the sense that if Snit burns one early you still have the other later to pinch run, though knowing snit he pinch hits both and then has to pinch run a catcher for a catcher. :)
