MINORS FINAL; 4/26 WEDNESDAY: Tough Act to Follow

The Braves will undoubtedly call him up and start his clock to help guide this Braves team to another 70 win season.

Who cares about controlling that extremely valuable age 27 season? Certainly not The Genius!! Derp!!

Thanks for telling us how you feel about this. Who knew you felt that way?

DOB wrote about Alex Jackson with some John Hart quotes: http://atlantabraves.blog.ajc.com/2017/04/26/braves-have-legit-power-hitting-prospect-in-jackson/

Hart said Jackson has the best grip strength in the organization by far.

A 24% K rate is manageable for a guy with big power. He has previously shown the discipline to BB at a decent rate (8%), so his low walk rate right now might be due to the fact he is hitting so well.

I am still skeptical he will pan out as an MLB catcher. Definitely interesting though.

It appears Touki will be one of the "high ceiling" failures. What ever steps he took last year...it appears he's lost. Still striking guys out though lol.

it's like his third or fourth start this year, man. Lol

Yeah, but he has been lit up three starts in a row. I don't get worried until they start stringing bad starts together. I guess it doesn't help that most of the other guys are doing so well. I hope I'm wrong ...I REALLY do.

Gwinnett would win 4 straight AAA titles if Sandy Vagina was running the team.

Also getting really tired of seeing Hursh in these threads. Every time I see him I think of the "but he is guaranteed to atleast be a back end of the rotation starter" ERA of drafting we suffered through. All those "low ceiling high floor" first round picks and not a single one made it to be even a #5 starter. Absolutely ruined this team.

Doesn't look like Touki was that bad, just got unlucky. 3 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings and 6 runs allowed with 4 earned?
