Whiles he's not the best if the bunch I'm most interested in Sims today. Can he continue to show progress? How close is he to being major league ready? If the Braves can find a way to capitalize on one of their starters early in the trade market Sims could be that first guy who steps up.

Some relievers in the lower levels of our system that off to good starts and intrigue me:

RHP Devan Watts (Florida, 17th rounder in '16): 11.1 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 14 K.

LHP Thomas Burrows (Rome, 4th rounder by Seattle in '16): 13.1 IP, 9 H, 1 ER, 6 BB, 12 K.

LHP Tucker Davidson (Rome, 19th rounder in '16): 13 IP, 12 H, 4 ER, 4 BB, 16 K.

LHP Adam McCreery (Rome, 22nd rounder in '14 by LAA, came over in Chacin trade): 11.1 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 7 BB, 20 K.

I haven't looked recently.. but isn't Morris throwing well too. he was just promoted to G-braves..

Yeah I was just going through the two lower levels. But Morris so far: 10.2 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 11 K. Two walks for him is a big deal.

It's not just the SP depth that's impressive .

Mcreery has huge upside if he can stay healthy and keep the walks down.

He got the save and struck out the side last night. He's also 24, so I wonder if he'll be one of the first to move up.

Likely a health first , results second kind of guy. Wipeout stuff, just gotta take the hill on the reg.

Carlos Castro just hit a grand slam. Having a great year so far. Gohara also looking great again through 5

Got to admit, I was less than excited when we got Burrows and Gohara for Mallex... but I think Gohara is probably the pitching prospect I'm most excited about. Close with Allard and Anderson. Seems like he's figured something out in the past year+
