I believe that Trump has received much better press coverage than he should have from the start. The liberal side of the media treated him easy for ratings and because they didn't believe he could win. Since swearing in he's received what any President would, sharks in the water on a daily basis. What makes it seem like the media is against him is because he's such a wonderful gaffe and blunder machine. Any President who acts like he does would get the same. But that would all be meaningless if he were doing his job. He isn't. He's clueless how to govern and how to run his office effectively. His press coverage would normalize if he could at least show the world some normalcy.
The Russia stuff is ALL of his own making.
My facts about the Russian scandal (and I don't even follow the daily smoke and mirrors):
1. Trump has an odd and suspicious affinity for Putin and Russian style politik. (This alone would mean little.)
2. Hackers who
appeared to be Russian hacked the Dem headquarters and
seemed to try and hurt Hillary and help Trump be elected.
3. Mike Flynn had dubious meetings with the Russian Ambassador, setting off a small tsunami of lies about it to folks both inside and outside of the WH.
4. The WH thought it was serious enough that they had Flynn resign.
5. Trump tried to prevent Sally Yates from testifying.
6. Trump tried to get Comey to drop the investigation.
7. Trump's team talks to Russia A LOT. It's either normal business or it's not. Considering the idea that Russia means the US no good and they would only be talking to Trump for what he might be willing to do
for Russia and Putin, it's worth looking into.
8. Paul Manafort. 'Nuff said.
9. Trump publicly asked for Russia's help against Clinton. Tongue in cheek? Perhaps, but he was stupid enough to do it, drawing even more attention to the issue.
10. Trump says it's all "fake news". Since we know for a fact that he is a liar, we should uncover every rock to find out.
11. Trump went to war with the press by calling them fake. This is right out of the KGB (and any dictator's) playbook and should be a giant red flag that he is up to no good.
Apparently there is a lot more dubious and circumstantial evidence. That's more than enough to have a serious investigation. The real facts and evidence come
after the investigation, not before.
