Anyone watched Rojas much? He must be terrible defensively or have an awful attitude. He's performed ok offensively... .723 ops

Big day for Yenci Pena in the DSL. 3-4 with two doubles and a stolen base. He also made his second error in two games.

Yunior Severino went 0-4 with 2 Ks. Four of his six outs so far this year are strikeouts.

I know this won't be apples to apples, but thought it was an interesting thought anyway; taking a look at international signings and their bonuses, not counting the Cuban players and older players -- and then compare it to draft slots to get a rough idea of talent. Again, not trying to make this a definite comparison or anything like that.

But just for fun;
Maitan = 4.25 million = 11th draft slot / 4,199,200
Gutierrez = 3.5 million = 16th draft slot / 3,458,600
Severino = 1.9 million = 36th draft slot / 1,888,800
Soto = 1 million = 63rd draft slot / 993,900
Pena = 1 million = 63rd draft slot / 993,900
Contreras = 1.2 million = 55th draft slot / 1,206,900
Rosario = 800k = 73rd draft slot / 791,700

Sent to Korea as favor to player. Will be much better paid there; Braves very happy with way he played when he was signed off scrap heap. Major league teams often have these kind of understandings with veterans. Good for Rojas.
