6/10 Game 1 vs Mets...Sean Newcomb Day

Give the Kemp is terrible stuff a rest, maybe to you by some number he is, but newsflash he is a big leaguer and has been for some time. But he is going to be here at least until Acuna is ready. Might as well get used to the idea.

My post was about how Snit misused his roster. Good work on not understanding the point tho.

If you don't like criticism of Snit's moves, add me to your ignore list. It will be mutual.

There is no way a team with Danny Santana as its lead-off hitter and Matt Wisler as its pitcher will win a major league baseball game.

The baseball gods will not allow that.

I know we need to give guys some rest, but I would've had the regular lineup in there to try and get Newcomb a win instead of splitting the rest between both games. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm expecting Wisler to get hammered in game 2, so I would've preferred if we'd gone all out to try and get the split

Why do we care about a pitcher win?

Newcombe was good. People are healthy who were unhurt before the game. That is all that matters this year.

I like Jackson. I think he will be a very good pen guy. High leverage as early as next year. He just needs time to pitch and to stop getting jerked from starter to pen.

There's optimism, and there's straight up non-facts. I prefer to operate based on actual facts.

Baseballism. Lh do not throw as hard as rh. Heard that as recently as a wentz scout. Anyone know if that is true for starters? Relievers all throw 85 plus now

In the grand scheme of things it doesn't really mean anything, but I think it would've been good for his confidence to get a W the first time out. He pitched a lot better than many of us expected, and I wish he would've been rewarded for it. Since we're hoping that Newcomb turns into a long-term piece, I'd prefer he get a win instead of Wisler

Santana is playing CF, therefore, he must leadoff.

The reward is that he likely won't have to go back to the minors. Bye bus hello plane. By motel 6 hello hilton

I've seen some odd looking pitches in the mid-high 80s. Those have to be the change, but it isn't good and he hasn't located it yet.

It usually isn't good. But when it is...

I still think he needs it to be a stud.

Not sure if he has a slider and curve or if he's just gripping it the same and snapping one tighter

The mistake isn't thinking Kemp is a poor defensive LF. The mistake is in thinking that it matters, especially with Inciarte in CF.
