6/10 Game 1 vs Mets...Sean Newcomb Day

Don't we have a reliever in the minors who can come up and replace the trainwreck that is EOF? Hopefully Cabrera gets in gear soon, but I feel the front office would just send Luke Jackson down instead. We already have 2 lefties in the pen even if EOF were to be DFA'ed.
 
I love the competition. You don't get the call up (like on some teams), because you are just the big name prospect. We have enough pitchers now...a few are waiting in line. They have to earn it.

I think they keep hoping he will click and maybe be able to trade him. It's not happening.

The Braves had a lefty throwing to a catcher before the 1:00 game. The lefty didn't have his last name on his jersey. I hope it was Minter. Go Dawgs!
 
We're getting blasted. Why are we using motte again today? We're determined to run him in the ground ruining any trade value
 
I feel as if the only thing keeping EOF on the team is his prior success years ago as well as the front office using the loyalty factor with him. If it were another pitcher, he never would've been brought back for this year.

I'm all for loyalty. Bring venters back and Paul Janish too for sitting in for Andrelton

Just watched Newcombs start. Definitely limited to no use of the changeup. Fastball was a bit straight but easy velocity. NY guys in the booth were talking about how its difficult for a batter to gauge velocity when the delivery is so free and easy.

He got away with a bunch of curves that were left over the plate and he will need to tighten that up once the book is out on him. All in all you have to give him an A for his first major league start. Kid definitely has the ceiling of an ACE.
