6/18 Father's Day GDT: Miami Marlins (30-36) at Atlanta Braves (30-37)

Because the Braves average more per game after a certain point in time because kids were not in school anymore. You have to assume a similar increase in 2017 from the dates prior to June 23rd 2017.

I understand that.

So we got a bump last year at June 23rd.

This year we will get a bump at June 23rd + 22%

Meaning, we will be around 22% over last year's attendance.

What you're saying now is that we will get last year's bump + the 22% increase to new stadium + another ~20% (for some reason) to get us to your number.

That doesn't make any sense

Your 22% bump is based on average attendance last year in comparison to this year. Last years average attendance is including an increase in attendance after June 23rd. This years average is not. The average attendance in 2017 will increase over time.

Got it. Yes - that makes sense. My bad.

Need to look at what the attendance was per game last year up until this point. Not sure how to find that

I think most of them did - or at least we around the same. The Braves went down more than most but I don't think it much matters because we never hit the old capacity anyway

Or matters with % bc we would go over current capacity for certain games now which would raise %

No worries. The attendance trends are very positive so far. I just hope the bump is sustainable moving forward as it woudl give the Braves ability to spend more organizationally.

No idea on that, but I had a much better time at suntrust

I can't wait to get down there. If the population trends in general for Cobb County continue then the Braves may have an extremely profitable operation which is very different from what it was in Atlanta.

OK... so I did actually count the Braves first 33 games last year and compared to first 33 games this year.

This year they are pulling exactly 30% more than last year.

Which is about average. But better than what I was counting before.

I can share my spreadsheet if you want but you just have to export the schedule from espn which shows attendance by game. Games before June 23rd the Braves are seeing a 33.27% increase in attendance.
