WEDNESDAY MINORS FINAL 6/21 ... Wisler a whiz again!

I think he just comes up too short in many areas. He can play multiple positions but he doesn't play any of them well to be a utility player. He's also not a good enough of a hitter to be a bat first bench piece imo. Now this is on a team that has aspirations to make the playoffs. On lower tier team sure he may be good enough to have a role. But I would hope we are looking past that at this point. He ultimately serves no purpose and will hit arbitration next season. He's going to be non tendered.

Can't argue with any of that. I do think if the choice is jace or Ruiz as lh bench bat in Atlanta right now, I want Jace. I think Ruiz has some potential, but sitting him every day does him no favor

Peterson is hitting ok but no power. That injury can sap power. Concerning....if he's going to be our LF when Freddie is 3B and Kemp is 1B then he'll need to slug more than 400.

Does Wisler fit in as a bullpen piece? His low strikeout total worries me, but if he can be one of those guys who just pitches to weak contact, he could make a nice bullpen piece.

At the very least, he can take a Josh Collmenter role of long-man that works a few innings in blowouts or long innings in tight extra innings games.

At this point, his most likely level in the majors is bullpen piece. He can ditch the change and focus on his other pitches. Still a small chance he could develop as a starter.

Can't imagine Jace gets another shot here unless Camargo or Dat Dude goes down at this point. Sucks for Jace, but that description is pretty much him in a nutshell IMO.

AAAA player

It was clear from Day 1 that's what he was, despite the pozzy-Barves at the time calling him the future at 2B while penciling him in the "5 year plan lineup".

I distinctly remember calling him a guy that could fill in at 2B while he was cheap, but would be a non-tender candidate the moment he hit Abr1.
