It's tough to say, if a team is in the race, a SP gets hurt, and they need a SP. They could overpay and get him, but Garcia has injury concerns and FA at end of year.
Dont think we'll get an insane offer but teams who need a SP could overpay.
What if we packaged Garcia, Viz and BP to a contender for a high end prospect/s?
As several folks have said in this thread, packaging 2-3 of these guys together could net a decent return. That's the route I hope they take. The trick will be finding a match, which won't be easy.
Yankees look like a solid match. They could use Garcia, Adams, and Viz/JJ.
So what if we swapped Julio + someone for Gerrit Cole. Gives the Pirates a pitcher for a few years at a good price and gives us a pitcher with great stuff. We could easily extend him and he has two more years of control.
What did Oakland get for SHark?
Not saying it's the same scenario but market and availability does affect the return
I think the Yankees are an obvious target if you can find a match
From the reported Clint Frazier mid step in ST (asking to wear a retired number and for it to be taken out of retirement just for him- an obvious move of immaturity and dumb-assery) and the emergence of Judge and the long time interest in Harper, maybe he could be pulled away by a package around Adams, Garcia and Viz
And now that Torres is facing TJ may be he could be the center of a deal if Frazier is a non starter

Bowman saying there is a chance Freeman goes to 3b when he returns from DL. I completely don't believe it though. I'm guessing negotiation tactics for trades?
If this nonsense is true then give Bowman an effing Pulitzer. This, folks, is #fakenews.
I'm curious as to which offensive stats Ben M is referring to. Braves are 20th in team WRC+. 17th in runs per game.
BABIP still 5th in the Majors.
