The Trump Presidency

How many years did Amazon skirt collecting sales tax?

How many sellers does Amazon not collect sales tax on behalf of?

How many tax havens does Amazon have globally?

"Internet tax" might be a bull**** Trumpism, but it got the point across in 140 characters.

Y'all have got to stop taking everything so literally with this man. Wake up.

Were you still in SC when Amazon announced they wanted to a build a warehouse and a lot of people were pissed that they'd be getting tax breaks while other businesses didn't?

Yes. I thought that the tax break was incentivized nicely, too. Amazon wasn't getting a handout.

What did you think?

Taxation on the internet is a tricky topic. As I recall Amazon started collecting sales tax when they were legally required to.

Also Amazon's use of tax havens has hurt them severely at time. It's the risk of that particular type of business.

oh ****, we are now back to saying we shouldn't take him literally?

it's so hard to keep up on when we are supposed to and then when we aren't and then when people say "he's just doing what he said he would do" after the whole time of people saying "don't take that literal"

but i see a lot of republicans are very silent when it comes to a republican asking to raise taxes it seems

Sounds like a personal issue.

I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!

That Morning Joe tweet is awful, and I think that kind of stuff is the biggest complaint his voters have with him.

But I'm still glad I voted for him, and glad we have Gorsuch instead of Garland. Hopefully he gets to appoint a couple more justices, since that's the only thing that numbs the pain of his tweets.

People don't change at 71. GOP leaders who don't take action beyond tweeting are collaborators. They own it. #VichyRepublican

We don't vote for a person we vote for policies and future direction of this great country.

"You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?" Clinton said. "The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up."

She said the other half of Trump's supporters "feel that the government has let them down" and are "desperate for change."

"Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well," she said.

which group do you fall in ?
The ones labeled "deplorable" or the ones that require understanding and empathy ?

///////////////

Personally I have to question the judgement and temperament of the person advocating "policies and future direction" One that brags about harrassing women I question any policy that person stands by.
Find it hard to understand how others can overlook

In retrospect, we should have let the woman who won the election be president.

I don't care about what label you want to put on me. That has no impact on my life or the direction of this country. I reject the ever increasing size of our government. I reject the pc culture we are living in where we can't talk about how illegal immigration is negatively impacting this country or that the west has a real issue to deal with in the future regarding islam. I reject social justice warriors trying to police thought. I reject havING more of my money taken so less motivated people can have an easier life.

We see things differently and that's OK but I'm not going to vote against my beliefs just because the candidate who is most closely aligned with them is a pathetic person.

Amusing that people actually think she won. Some studies are out there talking about millions of illegal voters. I hope we make elections on a weekend and make government issued ID mandatory. Then we will see who the country is aligned with.
