THURSDAY MINORS FINAL 6/29: Muller Coming, Fried Goinjg

isn't it irresponsible to bring up minter until he's pitched back to back days at least once?

I'd be fine if they put colon in long relief and see if that works.

Fried I've heard has a big problem pitching out of the stretch this year and to RH batters.....we'll see. I'm still on Fried Island.

I don't think it's irresponsible to bring Minter up at any point. He's probably a ticking time bomb, so we need to get as much major league value out of him as possible.

Fried's not really pitching that much differently than he did overall last year. His ERA is inflated right now. He hasn't been particularly good, but he hasn't been nearly as bad as it seems.

Agreed! Why I phrased it that way. He does not stink.

Juan Contreras -- the other $1+ million pitcher we signed last July 2 -- made his DSL debut today. One perfect inning with one strikeout.

Correct, probably the next Venters. If he's going to be hurt all the time anyways, he may as well be contributing at the MLB level.

Dude is already 23, so the Braves control all of his 20s no matter what.

Fried in and out of trouble for two innings, gives up long home run in third and comes out of game immediately with what looked to be arm trouble.
72 pitches in 2.1 innings. Four hits, three runs, two Ks.

Parsons comes in and stops the bleeding. Retired five straight; pace of game has picked up considerably.

Really lame lineup in Miss. tonight. Lookouts starter, making first appearance since mid-May, needed only 26 pitches to get through three innings (one hit, Scivicque infield hit, doubled up) facing the minimum. Minimum through four.

Scivicque singled in fifth, was first ball to reach the outfield.

Mo Cabrera with 4 hits/ 4 ER/ 2 BB/ 1 K in .2 inning worth of work.. 8+ ERA.. Hope he is up soon.

He's proof that looking at fastball velocity isn't always the best way to determine stuff. Even when he was effective throwing 100 last year, he didn't k many at all

Another one bites the dust. Good thing the Braves stockpiled risky assets.

And if anyone jinxes the elite pitching prospects by typing what we are all thinking I will ddos their IP address haha.

Parsons allowed one hit (solo homer) in 3.2 innings of work. ERA down to 3.16.

I said they needed to shut him down and evaluate the arm.. he was not throwing like Fried.. Could be it for the kid..

Fried is just straight up hot garbage. The only good think about the J Ailton trade was Mallex. The other players in playing hat deal should be working at Burger King.
