The Trump Presidency

Why should a government issued ID be mandatory? ANd you know it's possible to still fake that right?

I've not yet seen a case for ID laws that does anything other than make it harder for poor people to vote. It's a tax on voting. And when the 2020 census comes up, the states that have enacted voter ID laws, better have their representation in congress properly adjusted from number of people in the state who can legally vote to number of people in the state who have a proper ID and can legally vote. 24th Amendment is law.

Nah dude, government issued voter ID cards and like walls along the border, not necessary a bad idea in theory but in reality they're absolutely impossible to circumvent. ;)

What are lies the media peddles for 2000 alex.

Well first I'd had to ask which media, since the left leaning and right leaning media are BOTH full of it. Are we really supposed to have 17 intelligence agencies? Is that like having 17 bank accounts with about $20 in each?

USA Today, Oct. 21, 2017

But Clinton is correct. On Oct. 7, the Department of Homeland Security and Office of the Director of National Intelligence issued a joint statement on behalf of the U.S. Intelligence Community. The USIC is made up of 16 agencies, in addition to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

"The U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of e-mails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations. The recent disclosures of alleged hacked e-mails on sites like DCLeaks.com and WikiLeaks and by the Guccifer 2.0 online persona are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts. These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process. Such activity is not new to Moscow—the Russians have used similar tactics and techniques across Europe and Eurasia, for example, to influence public opinion there. We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity of these efforts, that only Russia's senior-most officials could have authorized these activities."

While the agencies all issued the statement together, Trump spokesman Steven Cheung told Politifact he took Clinton to be implying each agency came to the conclusion independently, a situation Cheung finds "unlikely."

So, 17 agencies isn't far-fetched at all and certainly not "fake news".

A long time ago I managed grocery stores for a living. I was sent to a store to replace a guy who was fired for hiring about 30 illegal immigrants over the previous 3 years. My first day at the new store was spent in the office with the stack of paychecks, handing them out to each employee and requesting ID. No one was allowed to clock in again until they provided government issued ID.

My point is, 30 illegals were paid, with state and federal taxes deducted from their pay, over a period of 3 years before any private or government system discovered they shouldn't be. But not one of them had procured a government issued ID.

Morning Joe has been on fire all morning.

This is such a bunch of nothing. Yes, it was a childish thing to tweet, but it's not like we didn't know that about him already.

Joe and Mika are just taking advantage of it to bring attention to themselves. They came back from vacation because Trump tweeted about them. The tweet itself told us nothing new and wasn't even particularly interesting or especially bad.

The tweet is a symbol of the moral bankruptcy of his policies and followers
As was the video of him mocking a disabled person and taped admission of sexual harassment.

But, tax breaks for money hoarders and don't forget, she had an email server

While I agree, I rather enjoy MikJoe being petty and milking it to rub it into Trump. I found the enquirer blackmail story even more hilarious.

Ive watched Morning Joe since they came on air after Imus was canned. Trump used to be a regular guest on the show and was just another one of the guys on the panel. I don't know what the hell has happened to him for him to go bonkers.

He didn't go bonkers. The left started to hate him after he ran as an R even though he isn't a traditional R.

So you can have an example where he is given awards from the NAACP and then called racist while campaogning. It's a nice thing the left has going.

Further, why is the media surprised and mortified when trump makes a comment like this? First off he is trump and an idiot. Secind, the media has been relentless in mocking him and they expect to get nothing back? Don't expect him to be presidential if the media doesn't respect the presidency.

Trump brought the hate on himself when he started the birther non-sense.

He "legitimized" it.

He's the one that sent Arpaio to Hawaii. He and Arpaio said they found some "good stuff". Turned out to be nothing like his accusations he makes now.

That's fine. Just making sure we understand that the first to question Obama legitimacy was not a raving republican.

If a President Hillary Clinton tried to blackmail journalists, congressional GOPers would have 17 investigations up and running by now
