2) Hit the ball to the opposite field, always.

You stole that line. I heard it two days ago and had a good laugh.
I thought it was a common saying since Eastwood made that nice movie with terrible Asian actors.
And you must be a pleasure to attend with, too...
That said, if we were 10 games over .500 we wouldn't be having this discussion.
I don't drink nor party either. I am there for the event not to socialize.
But you can (or should) respect that you're in the minority there. For many, a beer, a hot dog, and some snappy organ music are as much a part of attending a baseball game as the game itself.
And what you should do is not worry about anybody's opinion but your own. Joe has a right to express himself and did so. Honestly it is a silly topic for a three page thread. Especially since the team is playing well right now.

He's literally paid to put opinions out for our consumption. It's a bad opinion, and I'll call a spade a spade. But if you truly think one shouldn't "worry about anybody's opinion but your own", then maybe stop worrying about this opinion thread?
Joe lost all his charm once Skip left. Those two would literally make me laugh out loud during broadcasts. Chip just brings out the worst in Simpson: An insufferable homer with a "get off my lawn" attitude when it comes to newer ways of looking at the game, and Chip just loves to bait him into giving us the worst hitting analysis the baseball world has ever seen.
