MONDAY MINORS FINAL 7/9 ... M-Braves woes continue

Longenhagen on Alex Jackson and his injury--

Jackson missed a month with a left wrist contusion and has struggled since his return in mid-June, stroking just two extra-base hits (before last night) in 16 games since coming off the disabled list. With hand/wrist injuries, though, a downturn in power is not only acceptable but almost expected for at least a little while after returning. Jackson’s plus raw power, which manifests almost exclusively to his pull side in games, is his best tool and it’s good to see a some indication that it might be returning.

Well that explains some things

I guess Enscheff needs to refund all the derpy azz pozzies for popping their Jackson balloons.

Which makes Freeman's return all the more insane

Some things happening in the lower minors should guardedly bolster our aspirations. Really encouraging to see both Maitain and Waters off to great starts, though it's early. Also liking Cristian Pache's season, even if the power is not yet there.

Isranel Wilson with another bop tonight. If his power numbers get back to where they were in the GCL and his K-rate continues at its current level, that would be very good news.

Tonight's was an inside-the-park homer. Not sure what happened on the play, just hoping he continues to keep the strikeouts down.

Just looked at the box and didn't know what type of HR. Agree that K-rate will be the big thing with him.
