GDT 9/13/13: Padres (Kennedy) @ Braves (Hale) 7:30 PM

Gattis does swing at the first pitch a lot. The difference between him and Freddie is that Gattis usually 0-2 after two pitches. Freddie can swing at the first pitch then still have a good AB.

Would of gone Hale for one more inning but maybe had a pitch limit for him.

I think it's one of those manager decisions. You want to give the kid the chance for the decision and pull him while he's on top of his game. Confidence builder, and such.
