They need Kemp's glove in LF for 9 innings every game.

Puzzling.

Is it really? The Braves hitched their wagons to a guy who wasn't deserving of the first overall pick. The franchise needed a shot in the arm and a player to sell to the fan base. This front office is prone to making poor decisions and it takes them a bit to admit they screwed up.

I guess I'm just giving them too much credit. I would like to think they understand that your young cornerstone should be getting regular ABs and continue developing.

I guess we're talking about two different things though. I think Swanson is going to be a solid player for a long time. Maybe even a star.

hitched their wagon?
what are you even talking about
Is Swanson done as a major league player in your eyes?

They were trying to make him out to be the face of the franchise and with a stadium opening people were sucked in. Well really only the sunshine blowers were convinced he was a stud.

too many people have the temperament and patience of children.

He's being outplayed by a number of his drafted counterparts. He was the first pick in the draft and I realize the Braves didn't draft him, but there are certain expectations that go with being selected first overall.

Of course. But the Braves didn't pick him. They got him in a trade that has undoubtedly worked out, whether Swanson ends up a solid player or not. He's in his rookie season and is far from the only player to struggle in that season. He has plenty of time to be a very good players and has the tools necessary. People feel he should either be starting every game here, or in Gwinnett. The point is, he needs to be playing, somewhere, every day. I don't understand your reactions when people here say as much.
