Interesting numbers for those who said this team had no business adding prior to the deadline since the July schedule was such a killer...
The Braves are now 8-10 against "the best of the best" this month including 4-1 against the most important team in that group.
That proves little - other than "yaneverknow". No one would have expected the Braves to hang in there when they looked at the numbers. Guess that's why you don't see numbers people winning the lottery.

I just want 3 things the rest of the way and I'll be happy:
1. Matt Adams finish July with an ops over .850
2. The braves have a winning July
3. Don't trade Albies, acuna, allard, Swanson, soroka, and maitan
this is a lock, no?

Yes, they have sit him vs enough LHers and batted him low enough in the lineup to prevent him from coming to the plate enough.
Savor the victory bud. Adams got just few enough PAs that his OPS hasn't quite tanked to .850 yet haha.
Who still thinks his trade value has increased since joining the Braves? How much trade value does a bottom-half of the order platoon bat at 1B have anyways?
Maybe the econ expert virginiabrave can chime in with his extensive knowledge about player trade value lol.

I think Fulmer is special. And it's 4 years of control.
The question is what is the cost. I don't think the Tigers deal him unless they really want to unload bad money. The MLBtraderumors tweet suggests that it is possible...not probable.
Can the Braves afford Verlander, JUp or Zimmerman? Not sure. I don't think they can afford those guys and Kemp.
I'd trade Swanson and move Albies to SS or Comargo. But it depends on the deal. I mean a deal for Fulmer strait up probably doesn't happen and costs Swanson, Albies, Allard, Soroka, Gohara, Riley or something crazy. Just like an Archer deal would.
I think Verlander + Fulmer would be great. Verlander's deal brings down Fulmer to a cost we might be willing to pay. Verlander is over paid but he's still good. He could protect whomever is left from the trade of Allard, Soroka, Gohara and Wright from being forced too early into the line up. I'm just not sure we have the cash with the terrible players in the corners. I bet DPeterson and SRod would out WAR Kemp and Neck too.

Hard to "go to bat" for Kemp with the way he's looked over the last few months. I thought he would level off, but I will admit I did not see him falling off a cliff like he has.
I'd rather go to field for him since his bat is fine

Some will yell at me, but I see Dansby as the first to be traded out of that group. He might have the biggest name, but is the oldest with the least control. If I could get Fulmer with a package headlining Dansby (and maybe someone out of our top ten)...I would do it and not hesitate. Fulmer could make a much bigger impact than Dansby , with the other options we have in the infield going forward.
