Not including someone like Fried we acquired whom already had TJ.

Who's season ended for us with tommy john recently ?

Smoltz is the answer off the top of my head.
Beachy and Medlen hurt bad.
Oflarety too I think.
Weigel

Edited question my bad.

I suppose Weigel qualifies.

I was thinking of how in a span of days Medlen and Beachy both ended their seasons in TJ and forced Wren to sign Santana. Can't remember who's had TJ with us recently.

Asking because those last few years under Wren's era we had a ton of TJ's it seemed like.

Venters
EOF
Med
Beach

i was trying to think of someone recently.

Yeah, Hudson's TJ wrecked a season.

The loss of Medlen, Beachy, and Minor as rotation mainstays was was as much a part of the doom of the Wren Era as anything.

If they'd stayed healthy the braves might have strung it out a little further, but it likely would have been other injuries or a bad decision or two that would have derailed them. The farm was running on fumes and the bad FA signings and extensions still would have happened. But they may have avoided being a bottom five record.

This guy.

Funny, I remember EY stomping Hudson and breaking his leg, but I'd forgotten he had TJ.

That season was wrecked long before that. IIRC, Hudson went down in July of that year. Smoltz went down with shoulder surgery at the beginning of the season, Glavine barely pitched, and Hampton finally returned from his 3-year hiatus in August. We were starting guys like Jorge Campillo and Buddy Carlyle as early as June.

Throw in JJ and Hanson as well. Lot's of young valuable pitching just disappeared in an instant it seemed. Sucked.
