Yes, I am upset with Ronald at #35 with guys like Robles, Swanson, Crawford, Eloy, Meadows, etc. ahead of him.

Talked to a scout who told me Vladdy Jr. is a better prospect than Ronald if he stays in LF but if Vladdy moves to 1B, it's really close.

He sees Ronald as more of a .280 hitter. Says his approach has gotten better this year.

I asked him if Ronald could be a 30/30 guy.

He said yes. In terms of likeliness, he rated it like this: 30 SB > 30 HR > .280 average.

Then you don't understand that risk is baked into a lot of these rankings and lists. A 55 FV for a 19 year old who hasn't played in high A yet is really impressive. Now that he has torched the minors you are going to see that reflected in his grade for a few mid season updates and likely most other sources in the offseason.

I think sickels may have bumped him up right before the season as well, said he had a source that Acuna's power was legit. IIRC

I still think overall people are playing catch up a little bit, and I think his speed has been overlooked slightly.

It's possible But then again speed is one of the least important tools so even if that does get bumped it's not that big of a deal. What is a big deal is that hit tool and the game power possibly going to a 60 FV as well.

Mickey Moniak and some 18/19-year-old pitchers who had never seen high A were rated ahead of him, though.

Heck, 18-year-old Delvin Perez, who is struggling in the Appy League, was ahead of him.

Yeah all of 8 spots for Moniak. How absurd.

Braves OF Ronald Acuna risen 3-levels in 4-months. He's 19 @ AAA! When rebuilding teams promote a guy that aggressively, it screams stardom.

Acunas walk rate has increased each level
Acunas strikeout rate has decreased each level
His isoSLG has increased at each level

This guy man

Just an absurd talent.

Last 8 games: .300 AVG, 10% BB%, 13.3% K%. K% stabilizes at 60 PA. We are at halfway: 30. BB% stabilizes at 120 PA, so we're really not close there.

And his BABIP is the lowest it's been since rookie ball.

I am more excited about the Gwinnett games than the big league club, and it's not close.

It was a shot to deep center, his 4th AAA HR in 72 PA. 16th HR across 3 upper levels at 19 years old.

He is hitting .409 in his last 6 games.

This is reaching legendary status.

I'm ok with calling him up early if we can do a Longo like extension with him early buying out some of his FA years.

He's only made 100K so i would hope he'd be open to it.

But Acuna is an incredible player.

Do you seriously want anyone who disagrees with you to leave the board? I'm all about bets but why not make them fun?

I really hope nobody leaves the board... even those of you who insist on picking fights and insulting everyone.

Stop trying to make "leave the board bets." Everybody.... Don't take the bait.

RONALD JUST HIT A DOUBLE OFF THE WALL.

3-3 tonight. HR, double, single.

.458 in his last 6 games.
