8/13 GDT: Atlanta Braves (51-63) vs. St. Louis Cardinals (61-56)

Braves could certainly do a lot worse (and have for years) than a 1-2 WAR guy at 3B for the next 2-3 years.

I'd like for them to aim a little higher though.

Enscheff, you were wrong... dickey is the ace of this staff, not folty.

The braves must not be just giving dickey away or someone would get him

Guys in the NL that want to steal bases need to bat 6th or higher, or 9th. Albies probably won't be batting 7th for long.

If he keeps playing like he has he could be an excellent and inexpensive bridge to the future.

Will he be cheap? He's making 14 million. You think he will play for 5?

I just don't see who we can get at 3b. Moose, Frazier headly? Not great and expensive

Haven't been able to watch many games lately but just know we're on a string of losses. With that in mind and Jim Johnson in the game, when was the last time he pitched and has he been any more reliable without the pressure of closing?

Does that "bomb" he gave up to the second batter answer my question?

Finishing up a multi-year contract. I don't think he or any team will still see him in that ballpark. At his age and productivity, he won't play for $1M, but he won't be in the $14M range either.

Johnson needs to go into the Max Fried role for awhile and only pitch in blowouts. I doubt his salary will allow for that though (due to front office interference).
