8/20... trying to avoid sweep to reds

not yet a finished product

I know your comment wasn't serious but you are in fact likely right. At some point, some team should have told Peraza that he better learn to take a walk. Now, it's always possible that he would never learn reasonably good skills of offense in which case he is no longer trying to be a finished product but instead is trying to keep from being finished.

He is hitting .222 after today. With 40 games remaining I doubt he's gonna improve to anything respectable. Unless .230-.240 is respectable to you. Myself I think anything less than .260 is garbage. Couple caveats to that being you can make up for a lack of average by hitting for power, stealing bases, or somehow doing something else very well that helps a team.

Let's make a leave the board forever bet based on Swansons final BA.

Over .230 you never come back. Deal?

Haha. How childish are you? Maybe we make a signature bet instead. Every major league hitter should be able to hit .230

Because I want to see how smart you really think you are.

And you being gone from this board would be the biggest improvement that could be made to it. You contribute absolutely nothing of value...ever. Not one post of yours has ever added value to this forum. None. Zero.

.240+? That's the upper limit you mentioned in your brilliant post.

Not meant to be a jab at you, but isn't it about time to quit whining about Swanson folks?

Jose Peraza's "not a finished product" and is putting up a .262/.302/.329/.631 line with an OPS+ of 65 and is 23 years and 113 days old today.

Swanson on the other hand still isn't "ready" while posting a .222/.299/.330/.628 line with an OPS+ of 66 and is 23 years and 191 days old today.

JMO, but it sure seems pretty ridiculous to *itch about Dansby and how he's been handled if you're not willing to call out the Dodgers and Reds for "rushing" Jose.

If you don't like what I post then don't read it. I am not going to make some childish bet on a message board with some pompous clown who runs around hurling insults at people.

Jose Peraza had about 4x the number of MiLB ABs as Swanson's got.
