Wasn't Boehner the Speaker and McConnell the Majority Leader ?

Please -- they were united in not letting Obama programs see the floor and passed repeal how many times ....
But they couldn't get a relief bill for a major storm with out " billions of completely unrelated spending " ----- gotcha.

Maybe another day and another time we can look at what legislation they could get through

Maybe you should post what they DID vote for and support

repost

Let me also add Ron Paul once voted against relief for his own district. (Galveston )
What a dick

Ron Paul was consistent and principled. I guess you can't use your little "everyone's a libertarian until their house is under water" line on him

That is all well and good but that was a dick move
.....

sturg you're slipping -- you haven't written "freedom" once yet today

consistent ...................... check
principled ........................ check
freedom .......................... TBD
.................

Had you read the fine print you would have seen they can revoke your Super Special Code Ring over something like that

Cruz's objection to Sandy relief was based on his belief government shouldn't help anyone who won't vote for him

how fast you've forgotten it is Lyin' Ted we're talking about

This is, of course, a worthless point. Bring some substance, man

no because he had the means to get out of harms way -- left the rest to the dogs
because of some theory.

Re read W.E.B. DuBois theory on why nations go to war " property and principle and not some abstract theory on government" is a paraphrase.

How does that old saying go?
You see a hungry man and give him a fish he will eat for a day
teach him to fish
he'll never stop buying boats

Good for Paul he had the means to get out and the funds to replace what was lost-- but, what about those that didn't
Screw them?

I'm sorry but that my friend is a dick move in real time no matter how you cut it.

In effect turn your back on a drowning man because he couldn't afford a life raft ======= while you have 5 you're not using

Paul doesn't believe in using federal funds for unconstitutional means

His district knew that, and voted him in 11 different times.

unconstitutional ==== well, you checked off that box
sorry I missed one

you got to be ****tin' me, voting against relief to aid your neighbors during a natural disaster then hiding behind the abstraction of unconstitutional = Dick Move

now you get to invoke - and let's say it together "everyone is a libertar... "
