The Trump Presidency

Nobody seemed to care about first amendment rights in Charlottesville

I'm sure Nazis and Confederates cared about their first amendment rights. I didn't.

When terror organizations and thus enemies of the State exercise their rights they are by definition promoting hate, violence and the overthrow of the government.

So we're diluting First Amendment rights and unironically throwing "enemies of the State" around in the same thought bubble. Nice.

The First Amendment doesn't need to be deluded but we do need a reminder of who our enemies are. Would Nazis have been allowed to march in 1950? Why should they now? Okay, neo-nazis aren't "Nazis", but ...

I think Trump would like a race war, or at least some high casualty confrontations. He's been trying to incite violence for over a year.

{Large amounts of federal aid began moving into Puerto Rico on Saturday, welcomed by local officials who praised the Trump administration's response but called for the emergency loosening of rules long blamed for condemning the U.S. territory to second-class status. }

Are you going senile? Trump has mentioned it and the navy and coast guard have been there.

But don’t let facts get in your way

Did obama ever fix the flint water crisis you care about?

you tell me

https://www.google.com/search?q=obama+flint+mi&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

and to be clear, deteriorating inner city infrastructure though exaggerated by governmental malpractice in Flint is a national problem.
We should all care about

Freddie Gray the citizen murdered while in police custody in Baltimore (where the police were again acquitted ) was found to have an exorbitant levels of lead in his blood

...............................

Let's be clear ----
There was a question mark after my question.
Thank you for the answer

No but seriously: what is the US Congress doing on Monday to address the acute humanitarian crisis for 3.5 million American citizens?

will Texas legislators vote to send relief to Puerto Rico ?

Hey Hawk, I want to pose a question --- is that alright or would you like to see them first ?
Hell, 1st Amendment and all here goes

Since @POTUS @realDonaldTrump is obsessing re the @NFL, is it safe to assume ALL citizens have electricity again post-#Harvey #Irma #Maria?

I'm sure Trump will be sure to send you a discounted MAGA hat that no doubt yu can wear around the house because it is becoming un cool outside to wear such things

. Because he appreciates your unwavering enabling and your quick response to anything that so much as questions his standing

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that for as idiotic as his NFL/NBA attacks have been this weekend, the 5 minutes he spent spewing that garbage did not affect relief efforts.

Wouldn't we rather he spent that 5 or 10 minutes discussing -explaining relief efforts.
It is more about his response than a functioning governmental infrastructure that he inherited and is trying to dismantle.
No one expects him to deliver water or not watch football.
Or not even give talks to "his"people

The whole episode is endemic of his personal / presidential priorities

Army veteran Alejandro Villanueva stands alone for national anthem in Chicago

“I agree that America is not perfect, I agree there are lot of issues with minorities in this country, I agree we should do something about it,” Villanueva said last summer. “But I don’t know if the most effective way is to sit down when the national anthem of the country that is providing you freedom and providing you $60 million a year is the best way to do it when there are black minorities that are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan and protecting our freedom for less than $20,000 a year.”

[...]

“I just know I’m very thankful to be an American,” Villanueva said. “I will stand very proudly and sing every single line of the national anthem every single time I hear it. I will stop whatever I’m doing because I recognize I have to be very thankful to be in this country.”

why is the discussion still about who stands or kneels or goes to the latrine during a song ?
or whether I properly recognized Trumps statement from a week ago ???????????????

This originally was and still is about police brutality aimed toward people of color.

Funny how white people have turned the conversation from an uncomfortable one on race to some nonsense about respecting symbols.
Symbols
Respect people -- then maybe those symbols will mean something

This isn't hard

You say "this" was originally about police brutality.
You say that "this" isn't hard.

What is this?
How is this about police brutality?
How is this not hard?

I think this is a symbol. Don't you?

And, said the report from Bombthrowers.com, one outfit, the Economist, used 58 percent more Democrats than Republicans in a recent poll on Trump's approval ratings.

"In every poll, Democrat respondents outnumbered Republicans by significant amounts. The Economist poll was the worst. Only 24 percent of respondents (360) were Republicans compared to 38 percent (570) Democrats – which means that 58 percent more Democrats were polled than Republicans, as shown in the %D/R column. On average, in these seven widely recognized national polls, only 29 percent (409 people) of the total 1,383 polled were Republicans, while 37 percent (518) were Democrats. Another way of saying it is that, on average, 29 percent more Democrats than Republicans were polled," wrote James Simpson, an economist, businessman and journalist.

Simpson called the practice "fraud."

So lets think about what happened during the 2016 presidential elections (aside form the obvious Putin holding voters at gunpoint to not vote HRC):

1) Unprecedented negative coverage by the Liberal media against Donald Trump
2) Hundreds of millions of dollars of positive MSM coverage for Hillary
3) Obama administration spying on the Trump campaign under the false guise of a Russian conspiracy
4) Collusion between the HRC campaign and the media
5) Purposely misleading polls in order to suppress Republican votes

Man - The left sure is corrupt. Maybe we should be thankful if Russia tried to tip the scales evenly.

No one on the left brings up how hillary colluded with the media to beat Bernie. No one. If I was a democrat I’d be appalled by that.
