The Trump Presidency

you know what's more unpatriotic than kneeling during the anthem (which has nothing to do with the flag, of course)? claiming a POW isn't a war hero because "i like the guys who don't get captured." i mean, how ****ty can one man get? and then has the audacity to say what he says. if the kneeling bothers you and THAT doesn't...you might be racist.

you know what's more unpatriotic? attacking a gold star family, the family of a man who sacrificed more than this dumbass would ever even think of sacrificing.

he doesn't care about patriotism, or "the flag". he knows how to rile his base. he continually plays them as fools. he knows you're stupid. he thinks so, too.

"You don't have freedom of speech at your job", is weird for an admin arguing businesses can refuse gay customers on free speech grounds

it's also a stupid point because the players DO have free speech at their job. their "boss" could "fire" them for it if he wanted, which doesn't violate free speech. but to say free speech doesn't extend there is silly.

to add, donald trump made this about politics. kaepernick kneeling had nothing to do with politics, nor did the other plays who protested after him...until this past week, after the president attacked those players.

it's an objective fact that trump responded to players kneeling more harshly than literal nazis marching in our country. he is very clearly more fine with one than the other.

Trump directs $200 million to tech education for women and minorities - http://www.politico.com/story/2017/09/25/trump-stem-technology-grants-women-minorities-243115?cmpid=sf

President Donald Trump on Monday directed at least $200 million a year to technology education grants for women and minorities.

The president signed a memo instructing Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to prioritize STEM through existing competitive grant programs that will encourage women and minorities to participate in coding and other computer-based careers — though senior administration officials offered few specifics on how they would fulfill that goal.

"We need to create pathways for all our citizens to get jobs," Trump said at an Oval Office signing ceremony, surrounded by children. "When you get out of school, you're gonna get great jobs."

"Women are not equally participating in certain lucrative industries and fields, and we're looking to change the equation by designing these education programs to encourage gender and racial diversity," one senior official said. "It is clearly an enormous problem."

Trump seemed to say that the amount is still inadequate, telling the students that although $200 million might seem like "big bucks," it is actually "peanuts, peanuts."

But I thought trump was a sexiest and racist?

Good, and worthwhile simply for using the platform, but I'm not really sure if we're supposed to do backflips over

a memo instructing Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to prioritize STEM through existing competitive grant programs

A memo that's about spending money that's already in the hopper. Hooray, I guess? Seems a bit like the press releases taking credit for some plant opening that was in the works for years.

The article did say

"The grants won't require congressional approval or new appropriations, White House officials said, because they will rely on existing Education Department funds."

So yes, it is just a reprogramming of already budgeted money. But that is also all the President can do.

But the problem is that the MSM will find anything negative and pounce on it with 3 days worth of news on something that they think could help the Liberals, but if you shed good light on it, crickets until it has passed then they will say something like "oh by the way Clownface did approve this to help this out or that out".

Hypocrisy knows no bounds.

I'm just curious - what makes you think I'm talking about timeliness here?

better yet, ask him why this wasn't done during Obama's long tour. Same schit is happening now that was happening then. Same with female marches. They are just waiting for a Republican to be in charge to act like a bunch of sissified snowflakes and sit down and cry like little babies. But I have to admit, the Liberals are good at politicizing things when the MSM is behind you.

Just imagine if they did this during Obama's years.............nothing would be said, the MSM would just ignore it.

And still not a word of the fraudulent polls that were used during the election and now trump approval ratings. Trump shoots himself in the foot constantly but liberals have no leg to stand on with the issues so they resort to focussing on irrelevant topics. It will lose them more and more elections. Maybe we will get actual polling dat a which shows the country isn't buying it anymore.

ever heard the old adage

"if it bleeds it reads"

The skill is in minimizing the bleeding

“I think what these players are doing is absolutely wrong,” Jeffress said. “These players ought to be thanking God that they live in a country where they’re not only free to earn millions of dollars every year, but they’re also free from the worry of being shot in the head for taking a knee like they would be if they were in North Korea.”

trump's "evangelical" adviser.

polls weren't fraudulent.
trump's approval is lowest in 70 years for a president at this point.
the ignorance is no longer astounding, it's expected.

we know for a fact russia tried and succeeded in interfering with our election. why aren't we doing a single thing about it? not a thing.

They were fraudulent. You just don't want to admit it. That's fine.

Should we do something about every country that has tried to interfere with our democratic process? How about all the countries where we did nefarious things?

Trump's approval ratings are essentially the same as they were during the election. But yeah, something about astounding ignorance.
