The Trump Presidency

Strawman strawman strawman

The Left this... the Right that...

If people don’t understand why conservatives would support Trump, then I don’t know what to tell you. (Oh hint - it’s not because they are morons or evil)

Elitism that has infected the country.

Anybody see the market reaction today once the Flynn news broke?

A massive break to the downside.

Wouldnt that indicate that Trump has a big impact on the market?

Ah... so the 20%+ run up since the election and then a 1.5% instantaneous drop the minute the Flynn news broke had nothing to the with the Don

did i say that...i think markets liked the change in regulatory burden...in some cases I preferred his approach to Obama's as well

Today would be a good day for @realDonaldTrump to release his tax returns.

This is so bad. We have just gotten list of amendments to be included in bill NOT from our R colleagues, but from lobbyists downtown. None of us have seen this list, but lobbyists have it. Need I say more? Disgusting. And we probably will not even be given time to read them.

draining the swamp

Well, President Pence will be in office no later than a year from now, not a big fan, but he at least is more equipped for the job than Trump.

Back in the 1800s, supply-side economics was called the “horse & sparrow” theory, the belief that if you fed the horse plenty of oats, enough would pass through onto the road to feed the sparrows.

A perfect descriptor for this horse**** idea.

So sneaking in changes tailored to massively reward a tiny sliver of private equity honchos (like Stephen Schwartzman, who gave the R Senatorial Committee $2.5M last year) is really draining the ol' swamp.

To be fair, McConnell and Ryan never said anything about draining any swamp.

Sherrod Brown says under the Senate bill a Senator's kid will get a bigger child credit than a family earning $30K to $40K.

Me and my fellow middle-class strivers are going to sleep better tonight knowing that we'll get a tax break for our private jets.

And our local tax contributions aren't going to be deductible anymore, but it's all good because we're getting a new break on private school tuition.

What a ****burger.

Mitch McConnell, by the way, looks like the world's smuggest turtle copulated with the world's greediest plastic Hallowe'en skeleton.
