Russia Collusion Scandal (aka A Leftist fantasy)

Again...this is a start but this is not the final piece to prove to the country impeachment is required.

Right. And people like you have been mocking and downplaying this investigation for months now. "Where is it? I don't see anything". Today your tone is "this is a start, but...".

I don't think Mueller has tried to jump the gun for a reason. He's been deliberate and progressively building a case. He's been very tightlipped as well as his team. Really the only thing I can remember leaking was Manafort being indicted. That news broke late Friday and it was done on Monday.

You're crazy if you think this is Mueller's hail mary to take down Trump. He's probably got a lot of evidence we don't know about. The next part is connecting all the dots and putting the pieces together. Flynn is not the biggest piece of the puzzle. He's simply an opened door Mueller can now use.

My tone has mirrored what we know. I'm a flexibe person and now that we are finally seeing something I'm more than willing to change my previous stance.

Once again, Trump did not tweet during the entire Comey testimony because his lawyers had to restrain him. Trump's twitter has been silent since before the Flynn news broke out.

The silence is deafening. He attacks and counterpunches almost immediately when news regarding him breaks. The fact he's been completely silent this long tells you all you need to know. His lawyers have told him not to tweet anything. Even when Manafort and the others were indicted, he immediately pushed back on twitter saying it was fake and he had nothing to do with it.

We've known a lot.

Though from your point a view a lot of what we've known was nothing important to you. Your argument the entire year since this thing started was it's a ploy by the left and Mueller is a conspirator. Interesting how you had no problem pushing the Seth Rich thing with no evidence but have been completely skeptical on this Russian collusion story from Day 1.

The Clintons have a trail of bodies whether you want to see that or not. Easy to see them for who they are.

i wonder if trump got this news yesterday. would explain why he was even more unhinged on the tweeter than he usually is. would explain why he tried to reignite a culture war as he always does when things aren't going great for him.

IMO right now the big question with the most serious implications is whether Flynn has knowledge of any cooperation between the Trump campaign and Russian interests. I'm inclined to think that the fact that he seems to have been offered a deal to cooperate is indicative that he knows something, but that is still just speculation.

That he is apparently willing to testify to being directed to contact the Russians during the transition is embarrassing to Trump, because DT has specifically denied it, but it is not really a big legal stick.

Of course, the obstruction question is still extant.

One thing this does do is formally shed more light on more lies. Like I said earlier, if there's no underlying crime, why all the lies?

that's his normal state...he has done a good job of preparing the way for an insanity defense

I think the communications mentioned in his indictment open up a lot of problems to whoever was directing him in this venture

Flynn story broke about 4-5 hours ago. The only activity since is him retweeting the WH account about Aids awareness.

Mueller has Trump's team outplayed right now. Trump's not tweeting anything because he and his lawyers don't know what Flynn knows and might say. So he has nothing to attack. This is exactly why Trump's lawyers silenced his twitter during Comey on Capitol Hill.

Legacy felon Jared Kushner is a good place to start.

Chris Christie is probably somewhere chuckling over a plate of fried dough.

true. but retweeting something as vile as britain first is another level, even for him.

i don't think the insanity defense was on purpose. i think he's just dumb and actually losing his mind.

I know its MSM giving a shoutout to MSM but this paragraph is interesting:

ABC News reported Friday that Flynn is prepared to tell Mueller's team that Trump had instructed him to make contact with Russia during the campaign itself. If those contacts involved the emails the U.S. intelligence community charges Russia stole from leading Democrats, then Mueller will have uncovered evidence of actual collusion between the president and a foreign adversary during the election. Impeachment could then be in the cards.

Trump has never been in a situation that he could not buy or bull**** his way out of. I think he's reached the end of that run, and he's handling it about as well as we would expect.
