Braves claim Chase Whitley from Tampa

News gets a little better on Whitley. Sounds like he signed a split-contract, so the out of options issue is moot? Good 6th starter to stash at AAA, if so.

Now that I know he is a fantasy star I feel better about this signing.

How do you stash a guy like Whitley? Stash implies someone was looking for him.

Its these types of moves that make a GM go from average to good or good to great. Will be interesting to see if this kid is any good and if AA can uncover any gems in the future with these under the radar moves.
