Gwinnett Braves have their new name

A selection committee initially decided on Big Mouths -- another fishing nickname -- as the winner. However, while developing logos and uniforms, officials decided it "was not fitting with the ultimate vision of the team."

... and the hits just keep on coming.

Oh, edit, I forgot the other name they were considering (which, I would imagine, didn't fit in with the ultimate vision of the team [just horny teenagers] either).

If southerners are too stupid to realize the Gwinnett Braves aren’t the same as the Atlanta Braves, will they be smart enough to know they aren’t going to a strip club when they buy a Stripers ticket?

Folks in this thread have already been confused by it.

Same reason southern dollar stores have to price items in 5 cent increments haha.
